13 FUN INVITE IDEAS!
Christmas is just weeks away!
Don’t ya just love trimming the tree, sipping cider, belting out classic Christmas songs, and eating a thousand cookies?
But while you’re basking in all your favorite holiday traditions, don’t forget the most important part: sharing it.
Jesus is amazing! And what better time to share His love with the world, than His birthday? So spread some Christmas cheer and get your friends in on the action!

Now, if caroling isn’t really your jam and you’re looking for some fun, creative ways to pull friends into your Yuletide plans, look no further!
We’ve pulled together 13 ideas you can use to invite your friends to join you at church this Christmas:
1. Go LIVE on Facebook when you decorate your tree or ice your cookies and give a shout out to Northgate, letting your friends know when you’ll be there to celebrate on the 23rd and 24th.
2. Show off your bright blue Northgate T-shirt and remind friends we have a freebie for them on their first visit!
3. Host a huge Christmas dinner and make church festivities part of the plan. Tell the family which service you have seats at, followed by a feast at your pad.
4. Pass out some of the cute little ‘popcorn invites’ we have available at the welcome desk this weekend.
5. Take one of those tiny stocking from the dollar store, stuff it with treats and a note of encouragement for a friend. At the bottom, you can add a P.S. with our service times and ask them to join.
6. On your email a lot? Use a link to ngatechurch.org in your email signature!
7. Got a faith related book that’s been a big help to you? Gift it to a friend and inscribe with an invite to Christmas inside the front cover.
8. Tag your friends on Northgate’s Christmas-related posts, telling them to come check out the festivities.
9. Check in at Northgate on Facebook each weekend all Advent season and share what you’re learning from our current series.
10. #ThrowbackChristmas ! Post some childhood photos of trees with tinsel, opening gifts, or your fancy Christmas outfits--along with your sentimental caption, invite people to make new memories with you this year at Northgate.
11. Ask your friends about their family traditions on Christmas then tell them yours…easy way to bring up how church is one of your favorite parts and see if they want to come.
12. Tell your story. Is there anything more powerful than sharing what difference Jesus has been the best gift in your life? Next time the conversation lends itself, tell your friend a little bit about your journey and how God has worked in it.
13. Be bold. Just ask! “Hey, my church is gonna be amazing on Christmas! Wanna come with?”
In the meantime, pray persistently for the people in your life who need Jesus and see what He does.
